Stress level: HIGH

Well, it is looking grim. I am getting less and less hopeful that we will make the January 15th deadline. Pat's doctor STILL has not done his med. cert. Last week they told me he would do it this week. I called Tuesday , Thursday and Today to remind them and let them know that this was the only document we are waiting for. Today they called back and said that the Dr. said he would do it next week & to call on Tuesday....sound familiar? Yeah, that is exactly what I was told last week. I told them this. Very frustrating waiting for others to do things for you.

Also, the only document that has not originated from the state of MA is our marriage cert. That is from NH. When I ordered (and paid for) 3 copies a month ago, I told them what I needed it for and that I was going to need it to be state certified as well. They insisted that it wouldn't because it has a town seal. I still knew it would. I called the NH secretary of state to see what I was suppose to do and I find out that those ones are not usable. I will have to go pay for another from the state vital records office, have them notarize it and then bring it on over to the secretary of state's office to have it certified. Guess where I will be next week? Yes, I could mail away for this stuff, but it is worth the 2.5 hour round trip drive to get it over and done with.

Anyhoooo, there are several other families from MA with our agency. (our agency is in OR)
A couple of them suggested that we ask our social worker (SW) to call the local CIS office to try to expedite that process. Our SW called and her contact is on vacation this week. Hopefully we can expedite that. Now if I could expedite DH's doctors butt into gear it would be nice. With it being the week between Christmas and New Years and the kids and DH being home all week, I feel stuck. Like nothing is getting done.

I know...I know....I am a big whiner today. Thanks for reading anyhow.
