The Orphange

Some pictures of the orphanage where Maeve is.

The front:


Below is a picture of a store that is right out front of the orphanange. They sell things like clothes and such that are made at the orphanage. At the store are families from our agency that were picking up their babies in January.




On the left is a baby (not Maeve) in a swinging basket. The baskets are tied from the ceiling with ropes and they swing the babies in them!
On the right are workers and babies. See the baskets that they swing the babies in!!!


Below are not pictures of the same orphanage. But a picture of a different orphanage that my agency gets many referrals from. I want to share this because it is sobering.
Please note that what you are looking at is a glass wall that separates the babies and more babies on the other side of the wall...not a mirrored image. This is where the babies sleep all lined up on a bed...but there is no mattress only a bamboo mat. probably on top of plywood or something similiar. These images don't only represent this one orphanage.
