The airline tickets are booked. The hotel room is reserved. I have childcare set. Now we just wait. We leave on April 20th. Fly to JFK-Thailand-Vietnam. Not too bad. Ask me again at about hour 12 into the flight from JFK-Thailand! I will journal that and let you know when I land. I really can't wrap my mind around 24+ hours of travel. With the JFK-Thailand route being about 17 hours. YIKES.
Pat sleeps anywhere, anytime...he is fortunate. I hope to be able to sleep a little. I am definately picking up a few books for the ride. I wish Pat would play scrabble or something, but probably not. Maybe I will pre-cut some card stock and stamp. I am always complaining that I don't have the time! But do I really want to lug stamps and ink and card stock across the world? hmmm...I'll have to think about that one. but just to mix things up a little, I am posting a card I made last weekend...just for a change of scenery around here. Hey! I have to do something to pass the time!
Anyhoooooooo, thanks for indulging me, now back to travel. We will arrive in Hanoi, Vietnam on Saturday evening, the 21st. We must plan on staying for 3 weeks. We if all goes as planned we will leave on May 11th and arrive home on the 12th. If things go better than planned, we can come home sooner. We are at the mercy of the US Embassy. They take their sweet time issuing the babies' visas. Think back to Jan/ Feb when Pat and I were waiting and waiting for them to send our 171-H. Our taxes at work!
Well, that's it for now. I must save some things to post while waiting. ;)
