I feel so flattered that no matter how little I post, you people are still checking in to see if there is anything new.
Well Maeve is just amazing. Every day I look at her and marvel about how fortunate we all are to have in our lives. She truly does bring all of us SO MUCH JOY!
I love to watch Declan and Orla with her. They are like the second set of parents. Declan being the perfect doting Dad and Orla always concerned and fussing over her. Maeve just lights up when she sees them too. But her face never lights up more than when Pat gets home from work. I don't know who is more in awe of who with Maeve and Pat!
With the kids in school again we are starting to get a better routine going on around here. Maeve is s-l-o-w-l-y getting back to sleeping better. She went from sleeping through the night to wanting to party all night!
She has come so far since we first got her. It really hit me this week. When we were in Vietnam, my mother printed this picture and hung it on the fridge. It is still there. I look at it and think about how scared she was. Yet there wasn't a peep out of her. It really is incredible how well so many of these babies adapt.
I think she was only about 10 lbs here. Almost 4 months old. She was just holding her head up...still bobbing a bit. And in no time she started rolling around...crawling...and now she pulls herself up to standing! She will 9 months old next Monday. What an amazing life she has already lived.
