Good News!

Adoption is a long journey of unpredictable ups and downs. For this reason we kept much of our journey to ourselves for awhile. However, even when we thought we were on the path of "smooth sailing" and we shared our news and excitement, unfortunately things went in an unexpected direction.
Part of what added to our frustration was unusually long wait for a document from the US government. After the loss of our little girl, Faith, we decided to wait untill we got this elusive document to receive the referral of another child. Our wonderful agency had told us that they had a specific baby for us when we were ready. Earlier this week, we felt that we could start to move forward and asked our agency for the referral. We had felt it best to keep this news to ourselves until we received the final document. Praise the Lord! We received it today! We can now move forward and wait for travel plans from our agency. We will travel to bring home:

Maeve Teresa Thi Thu

Born on January 1st, 2007
in the Phu Tho Province of Viet Nam

For those of you that are not familiar with the name Maeve it rhymes with Dave, gave, save....It is an Irish name and means "the cause of great joy".
Thi Thu is her Vietnamese name that her birthmother gave her. It means "autumn poem" and is pronounced "Tea Two".

Many of you have kept us in your thoughts and prayers. We cannot express how much this means to us. You love and kindness has truly, truly touched our hearts. Thank you so much.

Please join us as we happily move forward with our adoption plans.

Also, please continue to keep Maeve in your thoughts and prayers. Please God, keep her healthy and safe until she can be with her forever family.
